Wow, somewhere along the way I missed a post or two for this trip. I actually had a huge amount of trouble trying to mass-upload images to the Gallery so I’ve resorted to uploading everything to Facebook for now (kinda killing several birds with one stone).
Ok, here’s the synopsis of what we’ve been doing since last Wednesday (actually Thursday morning…):
Ok, so this next post is covering Monday through Wednesday – chock-full of stuff that is interesting to us and our family and maybe noone else. (yes I did use a smiley there…).
- Sal and I woke up early and walked to Starbucks in the fog for a coffee and some “us” time. A great way to start the day in Victoria. Continue Reading
This is going to be a quick update since it is 11pm PST which means 2am EST (which means I’m one tired and minorly jet-lagged person).
Here’s a synopsis of the first 2 days:
- We left the house at 6am for our 9:30 flight. I had checked us in Online the night before and when we got to the airport (terminal 3) we had our bags checked and were through security in about 20 minutes…leaving us a bunch of time to sit around before the flight. I pulled out the camera early on to start taking pics but realized that I had forgotten to charge the battery the night before….so I resorted to taking some low-quality shots with my cell-phone (gotta love technology).

We are leaving on our “West Coast Epic” tomorrow morning and I just checked the weather in Victoria (our first destination)…. it’s not looking great:
Not that we really care too much about the weather when we are out there, I hope it doesn’t rain the entire time…
So we are finally doing a trip this year. We’ve been wanting to do something fun and semi-epic for a while now and this September is the time. We have been meaning to do a trip like this but have always stumbled on many factors including money. Now money is always an issue, but it is less of one now (or at least we are worrying about it less now).
We are planning a West Coast of North America whirlwind: Basically hitting 6-8 Cities in just over 10 days, including Victoria, Vancouver, Seattle, LA and Vegas. We are flying out of YYZ (Toronto Pearson International Airport) in the morning of September 22nd and returning sometime (probably on a flight from Vegas to Toronto) on Thanksgiving weekend (October 6-8th). It’s gonna be tight for time, fast, furious and fun as hell.Â
I have a Google Map created to outline our destinations: Continue Reading
Well, seems as though I didn’t really get to it back in November when I planned on it. But now, finally (only 5 short months later) I have finally pushed a new design live. I’m sure I’ll try and post every day for a week or so and then forget about this thing completely again….Par for the course really.
Either way, it’s nice to have the design change and all I have to do now is revamp the old portfolio-lio.
So, I think it’s time for a full on redesign of the site and moving towards officially rolling out this blog. I’ve been ignoring these tasks for way to long. Seems that the real world and real work have been keeping me from the creative stuff way too long. That being said, work is finally starting to move along since the “Acquisition†(place suspenseful piano banging here). Now that we are doing some hiring, I’m finally seeing a light at the end of the Web-Software-Project-Management tunnel possibly leading to cooler, funner (who says that’s not a word?), and more creative Hot Banana career path.
It’s a sad labour day indeed with news that our favorite Crocodile Wrastler has passed. Reports are saying that he was hit with a barb from a stingray while filming a documentary in Queensland. At least he died doing something he loved….
