I feel like I’m experiencing a multi-threaded revival of sorts lately and on first glance, I can’t quite explain why this is the case.

I’m finally getting into shape again….I’m starting to run, walking a bunch and doing some body-weight based exercising (the best way to build “basic” strength - through simple exercises like push-ups, dips, crunches. leg-lifts etc.).

I’m motivated to work around the house and have about 50 yard projects planned to improve curb and living-space-appeal for our home (including planting a new back lawn -slowly- using this new Super Hero Grass called Eco-Lawn).

I’ve been listening to a bunch of old tunes that I’ve all but forgotten about (and now realize how important some of these bands were to my connection to the past).

Lastly, I’ve also finally gotten around to redoing this site design and commiting some real time to improving it, my portfolio and starting to look at picking up contract work again….

But of course, as I write this I am beginning to see a few of the catalysts that have been integral in assisting me with this revival:

  1. The Adoption Waiting Game has officially begun - Not that this is overly positive or motivating, but we are finally at the point where we just sit and wait basically (and it’s looking like it’s going to be a looong wait) - but we are determined to live our lives again while we wait (we’ve put our lives on hold for more than long enough).
  2. Vitamin D - The Sun is finally out and the weather has been bloody beautiful. - I am in total “get outside” mode and loving every second I can spend outside these days - thus the running and yard work push…
  3. Last.fm - I’ve used it before, but for some reason it has just now struck me as the coolest social media app this side of YouTube - The fact that I can type in Madchester as a tag and listen to the likes of the Stone Roses, Happy Mondays, Charlatans UK and The Farm etc. blows my mind. I’m hearing music that I haven’t listened to in years and I’m loving it.
